One-time Gift
Those who qualify for Open Hand meal programs are never charged a fee. Ours is a mission of neighbors helping neighbors, and we rely heavily on community support to help fund our programs. Gifts to our Annual Fund are appreciated in any amount to help fund the expense of preparing, packaging and delivering nearly 5,000 meals each and every day. To make a gift securely online, simply indicate the amount of your gift in the box to your right.

Remember, 89¢ of every dollar donated goes directly to provide services to our clients, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Donor-Advised Funds
Perhaps the most popular and flexible fund for donors. Simply make a tax-deductible donation in cash, stocks or non-publicly traded assets such as real estate, private business interests or private company stock, and you’ll also be eligible for an immediate tax deduction. Your donation can potentially grow based on your investment preferences, and be dispersed over time to Open Hand and any other charities you choose to support in any way you see fit.

Monthly Giving
Looking for a way to make a significant annual contribution without writing one large check? Our CORE monthly giving program allows you to donate a specified amount each month via credit or debit card, check or EFT (electronic funds transfer).

This flexible giving program takes the hassle out of giving. We’ll simply submit a charge or draft to your financial institution in the amount you specify at the time you specify each month. We’ll then provide you with an end-of-year annual statement detailing your total giving for that year, making it simple to claim tax-deductions without having to track down multiple acknowledgments. And you can change the amount of your monthly gift, pause or stop your withdrawals at any time. To give a sustaining gift, simply choose the amount you’d like to give in the box to the right to indicate that you’d like to make a recurring gift in that amount.

Keep in mind that a monthly donation of only $84 qualifies you for membership in the Epicurean Circle, and greatly increases the impact of your gift!

Gifts in Memory or in Honor
A gift to Open Hand in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special accomplishment or major milestone in a friend or family member’s life is a very thoughtful and personalized way to remember them. Open Hand will acknowledge your gift (excluding the amount) to those you have named, and you will also receive a letter confirming your gift. Simply select the amount you would like to give in the box to your right.

All gifts are fully tax-deductible and will go directly to support Open Hand food and nutrition education programs.

Epicurean Circle
Open Hand recognizes donors who make an annual contribution of $1,000 or more or who otherwise help us make a significant impact in the fulfillment of our mission through membership in our Epicurean Circle. This group of extraordinary individuals are invited to attend two special Epicurean Circle receptions in the spring and fall of each year, hosted at the home of one of our most engaged stakeholders. In addition, they are recognized in the Hall of Friends Donor Wall, on the Open Hand website and in our Annual Report.
