Open Hand’s evidence-based nutrition education programs are designed to empower patients and caregivers to take control of their health with nutrition topics ranging from portion control, healthy eating habits and hands-on food prep to physical activity, gardening, goal-setting, and self-management. Nutrition education is offered to at-risk individuals from all walks of life — from low-income youth and families to seniors, from veterans to victims of abuse.
Eat Well—Live Well

Medical Nutrition Therapy
Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) involves one-on-one diagnostic therapy and counseling services prescribed by a medical or dietetic professional for the purpose of disease management provided by an Open Hand Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
Cooking Matters™ Classes
This celebrated hands-on, evidence-based nutrition and cooking curriculum helps facilitate healthy eating behaviors, promote nutrition knowledge, and decrease food insecurity for low-income individuals and families.
