Open Hand Partners with ARCHI to Address Food Insecurity

We partnered with ARCHI (Atlanta Regional Commission for Health Improvement) and its Community Resource Hubs to provide six weeks' worth of meals to clients who screened positive for food insecurity. The goal was to meet the needs of low-income people who have been diagnosed with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol.

Advocating for Medically Tailored Meals on The Hill

We will be meeting with legislature up on the Hill to discuss the Medically Tailored Home-Delivered Meals Demonstration Pilot Act and share data that underscores the need for Congress to take action.

A Happy Haulerdays Surprise! Carvana Gifts 3 Longtime Volunteers with Cars

As part of Haulerdays – Carvana's annual initiative to celebrate the holidays by doing good in the communities they work and live in – they wanted to donate a car to one of our volunteer delivery drivers! We randomly selected three of our volunteer delivery drivers and sent Carvana their names and some background information. After review, they decided to surprise all three of these incredible volunteers with a car!
